The trees are of medium vigor and are long-lived. The fruits are medium-sized, oblate-round in shape, covered with an intense crimson-red blush, and have light star-shaped lenticels. The cream-white flesh of the fruit is juicy and has a spicy, sweet-and-sour taste.

Harvest maturity of the fruit occurs in September, consumer maturity from November to January or March. The variety has good winter hardiness and high resistance to scab, powdery mildew, and moniliosis. The trees are demanding of soil and require pollinators; the fruit is prone to dropping before harvest.
