Fruits of the Ina Cox variety are characterized as medium or large in size; their color varies from green-yellow to red. The fruit flesh has a tart taste with a spicy aroma.

Harvest maturity of the apples occurs at the end of September. The consumption period begins in October; the fruits can be stored until the period after December. The variety is a distinct breeding unit related to the Holsteiner Cox group of varieties.
