The variety is a bud mutation of the Ingrid Marie apple. The tree has medium vigor and forms a spreading, broadly rounded crown with a large number of short fruit branches. Fruit harvest maturity occurs in mid-September.

The fruits are medium-sized, flat-round, and covered with an intense, almost solid dark-purple or dark-red color. The flesh is firm, yellowish-white, juicy, with a characteristic sweet-sour taste and delicate aroma. The variety is diploid and self-sterile, requiring cross-pollination.

The variety has moderate disease resistance, with susceptibility to fruit rot and apple tree canker. The tree branches are prone to thickening, which requires regular crown pruning. The apples are intended primarily for fresh consumption.
