Schwarzschillernder Kohlapfel has been known since the mid-19th century, is distinguished by very large dark red, almost black fruits, and is used as a dessert variety or for cooking. Seestermüher Zitronenapfel, discovered around 1930, is a winter variety with a spreading crown and large bright yellow fruits with a sweet-sour taste.

Brauner Matapfel has been mentioned since 1600, the trees of this variety are long-lived and resistant to diseases, the medium-sized fruits are stored until May and used for the production of juices and cider. Roter Eiserapfel has been known since the 15th century, has a vigorous tree, the shiny fruits of which are suitable for long-term storage until July and universal use.
