The variety is late-maturing; the harvest time occurs in mid-October. The fruits are fairly large, round-flat in shape. At harvest, they have a golden-yellow color, often with a reddish blush on the sun-exposed side. A characteristic feature is the appearance of a distinct waxy bloom during the storage process. The flesh is firm, juicy, with pronounced acidity, which becomes milder during storage.

The tree forms a dense crown, for which annual thinning pruning of shoots is recommended. The variety is characterized as not particularly susceptible to apple scab. It belongs to the ancient local genetic resources of Slovenia, preserved to maintain the biodiversity of the region.
