The fruits have a yellow-orange color, medium size, and five characteristic ribs at the calyx, smoothing out toward the base. The short and thin stalk is located in a narrow, deep cavity, which may show signs of russeting. The fruit flesh is firm, and the taste is sweet-sour.

The tree is of medium vigor; the height depends strongly on the rootstock and varies from 2.5 to more than 5 meters. The variety is late-summer or autumn: harvesting takes place in September–October, and consumer maturity is maintained until January–April. The variety is demanding regarding site quality and is susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, and canker.
