The tree is medium-sized, with a broad-rounded, rather compact crown, reaching 6–8 meters. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators, prone to alternate bearing. It requires fertile moist soils and quality care, and is susceptible to scab and bark canker.

Fruits are medium to large in size, round-conical flattened in shape with five characteristic ribs. The ground color is yellow, sometimes with a brownish-red blush. The flesh is creamy-white or greenish-white, firm and juicy, possessing a sweet-and-sour taste with a spicy aroma. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-October, the consumption period lasts from November–December to April.
