This variety was not obtained within the framework of breeding programs, but is the result of long-term selection by local farmers in specific agroclimatic conditions. The plants often grow as individual old trees on the territory of agricultural lands, for example, among olive groves or vineyards.

The name indicates exclusively the ripening time of the fruit in a particular area. Systematized morphological traits, such as tree height, yield indicators, or disease resistance, are absent in scientific sources.
