The variety is an old regional form, the first mentions of which date back to the 16th century. The plant is vigorous, forming large trees when cultivated. The variety is of interest to specialists in the conservation of genetic resources of old fruit crops.

The fruits are of medium size, weighing 120–136 g, and have a golden-yellow color with a red blush and striping. The flesh is yellowish-white and juicy. Consumer maturity occurs in December, and the fruits retain their quality until March. The variety is highly susceptible to scab and moderately susceptible to powdery mildew.

The fruits are intended for table use and market sale, and are also suitable for processing into fruit drinks, jams, or for drying.
