There are contradictory versions of the variety's origin: according to one, it was obtained at Lomonosov Moscow State University by crossing «Уэлси» and «Антоновка обыкновенная», according to another — it was bred at the 17 MYuD state farm by crossing «Вязниковка» with donor D101. The Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture conducted scientific research on the variety, but is not its originator.

The tree is vigorous, forming a spreading, dense, broadly rounded crown with abundant foliage. The fruits are large, flattened-rounded in shape, with cream-colored juicy flesh of sweet and sour taste. The skin color is light green, turning to greenish-yellow during storage, with a diffuse dark red blush and stripes.

The variety is for dessert use, aimed at fresh consumption in the winter-spring period. The fruits possess good commercial qualities and high keeping quality, retaining their consumer properties until spring.
