Selection number MR-13 is a product of the Corvinus University of Budapest scientific program aimed at creating multi-resistant apple varieties. The material is classified as a candidate variety whose genetic origin has been confirmed using SSR markers.

The plant possesses complex resistance or tolerance to apple scab, powdery mildew, and fire blight. According to scientific studies, the variety is practically self-incompatible and has the S-genotype S7S10, which is a significant factor for selecting pollinators within the framework of breeding work.
