The variety is a columnar form of Malus domestica, obtained as a seedling of the Vzhak variety. The plant is a natural semi-dwarf, 2–2.5 meters in height, with a compact crown 40–70 cm wide and a sturdy trunk.
A winter variety with harvest maturity in late September to early October. The fruits are spherical, large, weighing 130–250 g, dark red in color with white-cream juicy flesh of dessert flavor. The fruit storage life is up to 4 months.
The tree enters into bearing early; yield is 6–10 kg per plant. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators. It is characterized by high winter hardiness (up to -42°C) and resistance to scab.
