Variety description

The variety is the result of folk breeding and the selection of chance seedlings. Currently, it is propagated by the Kozjanski park nursery as part of activities to preserve local autochthonous varieties; saplings are grafted onto generative rootstocks and intended for cultivation in traditional orchards and home gardens.

Fruits ripen very early, ahead of the ripening period of the Beličnik variety. The fruit flesh is sweet but has a weak aroma. The variety is not intended for long-term storage and is used as a table variety and for juice production.
