The variety is classified as winter and is a local Finnish variety (landrace) included in the national genetic resource conservation system. It does not have signs of classical breeding and was selected for official registration as part of the cultural heritage.

Studies of pathogen susceptibility show high resistance of the variety to storage rot (Neofabraea spp.). Specific morphological characteristics of the plant and fruits are not presented in open agronomic registers, as the detailed description is an internal document of the supervisory authorities of Finland.
