The variety was obtained by crossing «Deacon Jones» and «Wealthy» varieties. The fruits are medium to large in size and have a flat-round shape. The skin is dark red with a blush and stripes over a yellow background; russeting is sometimes found at the base.

The flesh is white with red or pink veins, coarse-grained, juicy, and crisp in texture, with a tart taste. The variety is of mid-season maturity; fruits ripen from mid-September to early October and store in a refrigerator for 1–3 months.

The tree is moderately vigorous with a spreading crown and bears fruit on spurs. The variety is self-sterile and requires a pollinator. Yield is annual.
