The variety is a mutation of the 'Champion' apple and is characterized by a more saturated red blush covering most of the fruit. The tree has a compact oval crown and reaches medium size. Resistance to scab and powdery mildew, as well as winter hardiness, are rated as medium.

Fruits weighing 160–200 g have a round or oval shape. The light cream flesh is distinguished by juiciness, aroma, and a sweet-and-sour taste. Harvest maturity occurs in mid-September; the fruits are suitable for long-term storage and transportation.
