Red Pinova represents improved forms of the Pinova variety, obtained as a result of crossing the Clivia and Golden Delicious varieties. The tree belongs to the semi-dwarf category, however, the final dimensions of the crown largely depend on the characteristics of the rootstock used.

The fruits are large, round-conical in shape, have firm juicy flesh and a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and good resistance to scab and powdery mildew. Harvest maturity occurs at the end of September or the beginning of October.

This variety is suitable for long-term storage, maintaining its market quality in cold storage for up to 8 months. Due to the tendency for abundant fruiting, it is recommended to perform fruit thinning to maintain fruit size and prevent branch damage.
