The variety was obtained by crossing the "James Grieve" variety and clone BX 44,14. It belongs to a group of varieties bred to reduce the need for chemical plant protection products. The tree is characterized by moderate growth, and the crown varies from upright to broadly spreading.

The fruits are flat in shape, with a yellow-green color and dark brown-red stripes. The flesh is fine-grained, juicy, and medium-firm. The harvest takes place from mid-October, and the period of consumer maturity lasts from November to January.

The variety is resistant to scab and highly resistant to fire blight. It is intended for both home garden and commercial cultivation, including organic fruit growing.
