The variety was obtained by crossing the Undine variety with pollen from a scab-resistant seedling. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and healthy foliage. The variety possesses genetic resistance to scab, as well as resistance to powdery mildew and fire blight.

Fruits are medium to large in size, round in shape, with smooth yellow skin covered by a bright red blush on 70% of the surface. The flesh is crunchy, coarse-grained, and firm. It is a winter-maturing variety; fruits can be stored in cold storage for up to six months.
