A variety of Malus domestica, known as Reinette van Biesterfeld, originates from Germany, where it was first introduced in 1905 at Biesterfeld Castle. In international practice, the variety is also found under synonyms, including Reinette de Biesterfeld.

The fruits are classified as dessert type and are intended for fresh consumption. The flesh of the fruits is rather coarse, creamy-white in color. Taste qualities are defined as sweet-sour with a light aroma.
