Trees of this variety grow very large, reaching 6–8 meters in height. They form a large, broadly spreading crown with picturesquely drooping branches. In their youth, the tree grows vigorously; with age, the growth rate becomes moderate.

Fruits are medium to large, barrel-shaped and asymmetrical. The ground color is light green or yellow-green with brown-red marbling. A characteristic feature is a fleshy bulge at the base of the fruit stalk, which causes it to curve. The skin is relatively tough.

The variety is late-winter; harvesting takes place at the end of October, and consumption maturity occurs in December. The flesh is juicy, firm, with a wine-sweet taste. The fruits store excellently until May. The variety is productive, diploid, and can be susceptible to powdery mildew in unfavorable areas.
