The variety is a bud mutation of the classic Boskoop variety. The trees are vigorous and form a wide, semi-open crown. The fruits reach harvest maturity in October, consumer maturity begins in November, and the storage period lasts until March.

The fruits are large, oblate-round, with a yellow-green ground color and a solid or striped reddish-brown blush. The skin is often rough. The flesh is cream-colored, firm and juicy, and has a pronounced bittersweet, tart flavor.

The plant is demanding of growing conditions, prone to bitter pit and core mold, and sensitive to frost. The variety is versatile in use: it is ideal for baking, making puree and drying, and is also suitable for fresh consumption. It is a triploid and requires pollinator varieties.
