The tree is vigorous, healthy, often grown as a standard tree, with a semi-spur fruiting habit. The fruits are small to medium in size, greenish with a carmine-red blush or stripes on the sunny side. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, rather dry, tart, with a weak aroma.

The variety is late-ripening; harvest maturity occurs in the second half of October. The fruits possess an outstanding capacity for long-term storage, maintaining freshness until May, and are intended for the preparation of sauces, purees, and juices. The plant is self-fertile, resistant to apple tree canker, but can be susceptible to scab.
