The Rødby æble variety originates from the Danish island of Lolland and has been known since approximately 1840. It is a diploid variety used in modern breeding as a parent form for creating new decorative apple tree varieties.
In scientific databases, the variety is listed as part of genetic collections of heirloom apple trees; however, detailed characteristics of its agronomic traits, such as ripening periods or taste qualities, are practically absent in open publications.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
