The variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of Latvia and is characterized by regular bearing. In scientific research, the variety is studied in the context of evaluating physicochemical fruit parameters, including flesh firmness, sugar content, acids, and polyphenols.

The variety possesses genetic traits of resistance to scab, conditioned by the presence of the Rvi6 marker. Due to its valuable economic and biological qualities, SAULESMEITA is frequently used in breeding programs as a maternal culture for developing new hybrid families.
