The Sawa variety is a tree with a conical crown and shoots growing at a wide angle. At a young age, the tree grows intensively; once it enters the bearing stage, growth slows down. The variety is not prone to sharp biennial bearing.

The fruits are medium or large in size, spherical-conical in shape with smooth skin covered with an intense red-brown blush. The flesh is juicy, with a refreshing sweet-and-sour taste. Harvesting is carried out in mid- or late September; delaying the harvest is not recommended to avoid the loss of flavor qualities.

The variety possesses high resistance to scab and low susceptibility to powdery mildew. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness. Suitable pollinators for this variety include Ligol, Pinova, Waleria, Wealthy, and James Grieve.
