A variety of Estonian selection, also known as «Siidam 7», it belongs to the group of early-ripening summer apples. The origin of the variety is linked to the activities of the Polli Horticultural Research Centre and the work of amateur gardener Elmar Siidam, who was engaged in seedling selection.

The variety is part of the Estonian fruit crop assortment. In scientific publications, it is mentioned in the context of analyzing fruit biochemical characteristics, such as acidity and dry matter content, when evaluating suitability for cider production.
