The variety is autochthonous to the Umbria region, Italy. The mother plant was found in the municipality of Amelia, province of Terni. Currently, the variety belongs to the category of forgotten fruits and is maintained within the framework of agrobiodiversity conservation programs.
The tree is characterized by high vigor and an open, spreading crown type. Shoots have internodes of medium length. The variety is not an object of intensive commercial horticulture; information on fruit quality characteristics, maturity dates, and disease resistance is unavailable.
