The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, forming an upright crown in its youth, which becomes broader over time. Mature plants reach a height of 3 to 6 meters. The variety is susceptible to diseases, specifically showing susceptibility to apple tree canker.

Fruits have a narrow, conical or cylindrical shape, often tapered. The ground color is greenish-yellow, changing to light yellow; the overcolor varies from diffused red to stripes. The flesh is white to greenish-white, juicy, sweet and sour, but becomes mealy quickly after harvest.

The variety is a winter type, with harvest beginning in mid-September. The fruits are prone to dropping before reaching full maturity during strong winds. Storage life under normal conditions is limited to December, and to January in cold storage. It is used as a dessert variety, as well as for processing into distillates.
