The tree is vigorous; as it enters the fruiting stage, the crown changes its shape from upright to spreading. The variety is classified as late-winter or early-winter, with harvesting beginning in October. The trees are characterized by moderate susceptibility to fire blight, are sensitive to powdery mildew, and are relatively resistant to scab and canker.

The fruit is large, round-conical in shape. The skin is 70–80% covered with dark red stripes, which distinguishes the variety from its parent, Jonagold. The flesh is firm, juicy, and yellow in color. The taste is sweet, aromatic, with mild acidity. The fruit has good keeping quality, retaining its consumer properties until April–May.

The variety is universal and is used as a table variety for fresh consumption, and is also suitable for culinary processing, including the preparation of baked goods and mousses.
