The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 6–8 meters on high-stem forms, and on dwarfing rootstock the height is 3–5 meters. The variety possesses winter hardiness and requires planting in warm, sheltered locations.

The fruits belong to the 'calville' group, have juicy flesh with a spicy taste and a characteristic aroma that develops strawberry notes upon full ripening. Consumer maturity occurs in the period from December to April after the October harvest.

The variety is a dessert type, suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, baking, and processing into juices.
