Roter Trierer Weinapfel is a vigorous tree with a broad crown. Its fruits are medium to small in size, bluish-red in color with juicy, firm flesh. The variety is late-maturing; harvest maturity occurs in November–December, and the crop can be stored until April. The tree is productive but can be sensitive to scab.

Börtlinger Weinapfel is characterized by the drooping crown shape of the vigorous tree. The fruits are small, yellow with a brownish-red blush, and ripen in mid-October. The variety is considered resistant to diseases and pests, although it exhibits susceptibility to certain fungal leaf diseases.

Erbachhofer Weinapfel is characterized by low requirements for soil and climatic conditions and high resistance to diseases and pests. The fruits are small or medium, bright red when ripe, and the skin can be oily. The variety is productive, but bearing begins late.
