The tree is vigorous, reaching a height of 4 to 8 meters, and has a spreading crown with drooping branches. The variety is diploid and prone to biennial bearing, with the first yields occurring relatively slowly.

The fruits are round-conical or pear-shaped with smooth, waxy, yellow-green skin with a red blush. The firm and juicy flesh is characterized by a specific bittersweet taste with mild tannins, making the variety suitable for both blends and high-quality single-varietal ciders.

The variety shows moderate resistance to scab and is resistant to powdery mildew and canker, but it is noted for its high susceptibility to fire blight. Harvesting typically takes place from late October to November.
