The variety is a spur clone (mutant) of Golden Delicious with characteristic short internodes and a large number of fruiting spurs. Trees are characterized by restrained, compact growth and vertically directed shoots, being significantly shorter and smaller in crown volume than standard forms of the parent variety.

The fruits are full-sized and sweet, belonging to the winter maturity group with a harvest period at the end of September. Russeting may appear on the skin, the degree of which depends on growing conditions. The variety is intended for use as a dessert fruit and for fresh consumption.

The compact habit allows the trees to be grown in gardens with limited space or on patios. Cultivation requires attention to rootstock selection and care, as spur clones are prone to reversion, that is, a return to the traits of the parent variety under certain conditions.
