The tree is characterized by moderate or slow growth, forming a rounded or spreading canopy of medium to large size. The fruits are of medium to large size and have a round-oblate, often slightly ribbed shape.

The skin of the fruit is green, turning deep yellow upon ripening, sometimes with a brownish-pink blush and characteristic russeting around the stalk. The flesh is greenish-yellow, firm, crisp, juicy, and fine-grained.

The fruits ripen in late October–November. The taste of the fruit is complex, sweet-sour, with a characteristic aroma, improving after a storage period which can last until March–April. The variety is susceptible to scab and moderately resistant to collar rot.
