Malus prunifolia 'Fastigiata' is a tree 5–7 meters tall. At a young age, the crown has a narrow columnar shape, which widens to a vase shape with age. Flowering occurs in April-May with pink-white flowers. The fruits are small, about 2 cm in diameter, yellow in color with a red blush.
The plant has high frost resistance down to -40 °C and tolerates wind well. It is used for decorative purposes in the landscaping of small gardens and streets. The 'Wisley' variety is characterized by requirements for fertile, well-drained soils, planting in sunny areas or light partial shade, and protection from strong winds.
