Variety description

The variety is a spontaneous mutation of Oregonspur® Trumdor and belongs to the spur type of trees with shortened internodes. The tree is characterized by low to moderate vigor, which makes it suitable for high-density plantings, and it requires the use of vigorous rootstocks.
The fruits have a conical or oblong-conical shape and are covered with a bright dark red blush on 90% of the surface. The flesh is white, firm, sweet, and has a very low acid content. The ripening period is close to that of the Golden Delicious variety.
The variety is prone to biennial bearing and exhibits susceptibility to scab and canker. Cultivation is aimed at the commercial production of Red Delicious group fruits, which are in demand in export markets.
