The variety is classified as a late autumn apple, with harvesting beginning in mid-September. The trees are medium-sized, reaching 2–4 meters in height depending on the rootstock, with a rounded, dense crown. The variety is demanding in terms of care and is prone to alternate bearing, as well as overcropping, which requires control.

The medium-sized fruits have a round or flattened-globular shape. The flesh is firm, juicy, light yellow in color, and possesses a distinct aroma and a sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is a dessert type intended for fresh consumption, but is also suitable for processing and culinary use.

The plant is susceptible to a number of diseases, including apple scab, powdery mildew, fruit rot, and fire blight.
