The variety is a spontaneous color mutation of the original Elstar variety. The tree is medium-sized, possesses high growth vigor, and requires careful maintenance, regular pruning, and fruit thinning due to a tendency towards biennial bearing. Flowering occurs in mid-season, and the variety is a good pollinator.
The fruits are identical in shape and size to the Elstar variety and have a dark red blush with an orange hue covering up to 75% of the surface. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, and has a pronounced aroma. Harvesting is carried out in the second half of September; the fruits store until March under ordinary conditions and until April in a ULO environment.
The variety is susceptible to scab, powdery mildew, and Nectria canker. The fruits are resistant to premature dropping from the tree.
