The tree is of medium size, reaching 3–6 meters in height with a broad, spreading crown of conical or rounded shape. The leaves are dark green, ovate or elliptical, with a matte sheen. In May, the tree is abundantly covered with snow-white flowers 3.5–6 cm in diameter with pink veins or edges, developing from light pink or carmine buds.
The fruits are small, 2–2.5 cm in diameter, spherical or slightly flattened, colored yellow-orange with a red blush. They ripen by early autumn and remain on the tree until December or January. The plant is light-loving, frost-hardy down to -30°C, and tolerates pruning well, which allows for crown shaping.
The variety is susceptible to scab and powdery mildew, especially when branches are crowded. It prefers fertile, well-drained soils. The fruits are considered conditionally edible and can be used in cooking, however, the primary purpose of the tree is the decorative layout of sites.
