An adult tree reaches a height of 4–6 meters with a crown diameter of 3–4 meters. The crown shape is broad, upright-growing. The leaves are elliptical: dark red upon emerging, bronze or dark green in summer, and brownish in autumn.
Flowering is abundant and occurs in May. The buds are carmine-red; the flowers are large, simple, and of a saturated dark purple or red-pink color. The fruits are 3–4 cm in diameter, round, dark red in color, and remain on the branches for a long time.
The variety is characterized as sufficiently healthy and winter-hardy (zones 3–7). The fruits are theoretically edible but are not intended for commercial production and are used as a decorative element.
