The plant is a tree or shrub with a height of 2–2.5 to 4–6 meters with a rounded spreading crown. Leaves change color from bronze in spring to dark green or purple in summer.
Flowering occurs in May with large, fragrant lilac-purple flowers. Fruits with a diameter of 2–3 cm and a weight of 15–20 g have a bright red color and sweet-sour juicy flesh; they are not suitable for long-term storage.
The variety has high winter hardiness and drought tolerance, is resistant to powdery mildew and scab, and tolerates urban conditions. It is used in landscape design for group and single plantings, as well as for creating trellises.
