The variety is a mutant of the well-known Benoni variety. The main morphological difference lies in the more intense red coloration of the fruit compared to the original form.
The plant is used in intensive horticulture, where moderately vigorous tree growth, as well as early and high yields, are valued. The trees can be grown in various forms, including as a half-standard.
