Schneica is a mutant clone of the apple variety Jonagold. The fruits of the variety correspond to the original variety in size, taste, and texture, but have a darker coloration and a slightly more rounded shape.
The variety belongs to the winter consumption group and is intended for intensive commercial fruit growing. The fruits are used as dessert produce for fresh market sale due to their high commercial quality.
