The variety was selected from a Hungarian alfalfa population and is one of the most significant and widely cultivated in Greece. Its genetic material is actively used for breeding other varieties, such as «Yliki» and «Lamia».
The plant belongs to semi-winter types with rapid regrowth after mowing. The variety is characterized by an erect habit, high productivity, and hollow stems. The variety exhibits high drought tolerance and adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions.
