The bush has a dense, lodging-resistant form, reaching a height of 120–130 cm during the flowering period. Leaves are broad, green, low-positioned, and turn orange-yellow in autumn. The plant stems have a characteristic blue-gray hue.
Flowering begins in the second half of August. The inflorescences are dense and upward-facing at the beginning of flowering, with a pronounced ruby-red color that gradually lightens. The variety is winter hardy (zone 5a), prefers sunny locations and well-drained moist soils.
