ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.
10 August 2026
The tree has medium vigor and an open crown, leaves are bright green. The fruits are of medium size, about 2.7 g, have an elongated asymmetric shape and turn black upon ripening. The variety name comes from a Catalan word meaning "grafting," which is associated with the need for this method of propagation due to the low rooting ability of cuttings.
The variety is multipurpose: suitable for both high-quality oil production and use as table olives. The oil is distinguished by a mild sweetish taste without bitterness, and the table olives are valued for their creamy texture. Oil yield is about 18.3%.
The plant is hardy, adapts well to drought and poor soils, and exhibits resistance to cold and Verticillium wilt. The variety is sensitive to peacock spot, olive knot (tuberculosis of the olive tree), olive fruit fly, and severe winter frosts.
