ActiveOlea europaea L. · Olive
TODOLIVO S.L.

The variety is local and has practically fallen out of general use. Its history is associated with the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region, where the trees survived the severe frosts of 1956, while other varieties perished. Subsequently, Filayre Rouge was used primarily as a rootstock for more popular cultivated varieties.
In agronomic studies, the variety is classified as a genetic resource of local importance and is included in lists for the study of the origin and genetic diversity of olives. Structured agrotechnical characteristics, such as maturity group, plant height, or oil quality indicators, are absent in open scientific publications. The variety has no industrial value.
