The EG1102 variety belongs to the lowland ecotype and is a tetraploid. It was developed as a high-yielding source of biomass, demonstrating good growth vigor in the spring period.
The plant possesses resistance to rust, as well as the ability to adapt to saline soils and low temperatures. In terms of its characteristics, the variety is considered an improved form of the Kanlow variety, which is confirmed by studies of its chemical composition and levels of phenolic compounds.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
