Variety description

The variety is derived from 'Cave-in-Rock' genetic material and is intended for use as a forage crop, a source of biomass, as well as for soil conservation and wildlife habitat creation. The plant is characterized by a late maturity group, reaching maturity approximately 155 days after planting.
Under favorable conditions, the sward height reaches 2.1–2.7 meters. The variety has an erect growth habit and stems that are approximately 30% thicker than those of comparable varieties, which provides high lodging resistance. The variety's seeds are distinguished by increased weight and size, which facilitates easy establishment, while the plant retains good winter hardiness.
